about
Thank you so much for taking the time to check out our debut single and video for 'Peace of Mind,' which was recorded with the amazing guys at Undead Studios. We would like to give some insight into the song and why it means so much to us.
Discrimination is everywhere and as sad as it is to say, it's something that will probably never go away, especially when it comes to sexual preferences and the LGBT community. This song is our way of telling anyone against such lifestyles exactly how we feel. 'Peace of Mind' was written by our bass player, Smiley, who has faced these hardships firsthand on a day-to-day basis and how he feels. And as you'll hear Corey say at any of our live shows, "it's 2016, it's time to move past this!"
So, give it a listen and tell your friends!
lyrics
Here we are again.
Back to the start.
Dead inside with a broken heart.
Everything lead to this.
I could always see it.
Feel the inner pain.
Back to the start.
Dead inside with a broken heart.
Everything lead to this.
I could always see it.
Feel the inner pain.
When you see me leaving, let me go.
You turn to see the tears in my eyes roll.
You see the fear that I show.
Set me free and let my feelings flow.
I know it's the way you were raised but,
these hateful words, still leave me dazed.
Just accept me for who I am, and we'll part our ways.
You didn't have to leave scars on my face,
Or tell me that I had to leave this place.
I'm sorry I am such a disgrace.
I know you want me to be replaced.
When you see me leaving let me go.
You turn to see the tears in my eyes roll.
You see the fear that I show.
Set me free and let my feelings flow.
But then I think about all the lies,
You spread to your children throughout our lives.
Let me love him father, and please don't bother,
To tear us apart, tear us apart.
But then I think about all the lies,
You spread to your children throughout our lives.
Let me love him father, and please don't bother,
To tear us apart, tear us apart.
When you see me leaving, let me go.
You turn to see the tears in my eyes roll.
You see the fear that I show.
Set me free and let my feelings flow.
Now that you told me to learn my place,
You're no father to me.
GET OUT OF MY FACE!
I guess we'll part ways.
You'll never leave this place.
I know one day, you will pay.
